STAY HOME – PROTECT THE NHS – SAVE LIVES
‘Stay home’ isn’t an invitation that rests easily for one of Wales’ most popular holiday destinations – but no one can ignore the current realities that the Coronavirus threat is imposing on us all. The loss of one of our popular locals has very much ‘hit home’. We are isolated but not immune!
We are experiencing unprecedented social change and the Coronavirus situation is set to dominate our lives for some time. The threats to health and the speed with which the virus has spread around the world have been much discussed in the press and broadcast media, as has the inevitable impact on activities that we so easily take for granted. Self-isolation, the shutdown of schools, our hospitality industry, and the inevitable pressures on the National Health Service have swiftly become part of our everyday lives.
a difficult message to convey to visitors…
We implore you all to observe the travel restrictions as instructed by the government and please ‘stay at home’. This is a difficult message to convey to regular visitors who have become, over the years ‘friends’ to our community, but adherence to recommended travel restrictions will save lives!
There are many stories already that demonstrate the community spirit in Aberdovey has sprung rapidly into action. Many thanks to all of you who care about your community and have already made such a difference.
