Aberdovey Golf Club is one of the UK’s finest links courses. Set enchantingly at the mouth of the Dyfi estuary, the links are wedged between the Cambrian Mountains and the shoreline.

Legend has it that the founder of the club, Colonel Ruck, having played golf at Formby, borrowed nine flower pots from a lady in the village and cut nine holes in the marsh to put them in.

Much water has flowed under the bridge since then and many respected architects have made their impact on Aberdovey – Herbert Fowler, Harry Colt and James Braid – small wonder it is such a revered links course.

Measuring 6700 yards the course will test the very best of golfers, and has played host to a number of amateur championships over the years. It was here at Aberdovey Golf Club, as a youngster, that Ian Woosnam developed his craft.

Visitors are welcome and you are invited to contact the club or visit us online.
