Clerk’s Office

PSandy Andrews has lived in Aberdyfi since 1992, when she moved here to work at Outward Bound Rhowniar as an instructor. While at Outward Bound she met her husband and after they married in St. Peter’s Church, were lucky enough to buy a house here in the village.

Sandy has been active in the local community in various roles – she has been a member of the mountain rescue team, lifeboat crew, she was Chair of Aberdyfi school PTA and served as a Governor of the school for a few years just before it closed.

Before moving to Aberdyfi, Sandy worked for various charities, doing personal development work with young adults and after leaving Outward Bound, she trained as a counsellor and worked with students at Aberystwyth University. About 10 years ago she re-trained as a fitness instructor and when she’s not doing Council duties, you will find her running fitness classes for older adults in the community and indulging in her passion for Tai Chi as well as running a community drop-in centre.

Unfortunately the clerk’s office is upstairs in the Literary Institute and if you are unable to access the office, Sandy will happily meet you somewhere more convenient in the village. Please contact her to arrange.
