Aberdovey Food Festival
There are some events just too good to miss and if you did there is always next year – Welcome to the Aberdovey Food Festival!
This highly praised event features cookery demonstrations by leading local chefs and a veritable cornucopia of food and drink opportunities from around Wales.
Michelin-star chef Gareth Ward from Ynyshir Restaurant & Rooms is our annual special guest and we cannot overstate the privilege of having Gareth on board, demonstrating his culinary master class. He has recently been declared the UK’s number one chef and Ynyshir the fourth best restaurant by the country’s leading restaurant guide, the Good Food Guide.

As if that wasn’t enough, James Martin of Saturday Morning Kitchen has enthused, after a visit to Ynyshir, that it was the best restaurant food he had ever experienced in the UK.
Gareth has since become something of a TV celebrity, inspiring a national audience with his innovative methods and maverick approach to his craft.
There are opportunities throughout the day to sample and purchase a wide range of mainly Welsh artisan produce including seafood, award winning cheeses, locally reared meat, Snowdonia honey, artisan breads, preserves & jams, gourmet ice-lollies (yes, really!), craft beers, wine and our own Aberdovey fudge.
The Festival is free of charge to all and once again is planned to be held on the playing field opposite Dyfi Stores and Post Office in Aberdovey, just a few minutes from Aberdovey Railway Station.
Aberdovey Food Festival is promoted by Aberdovey Community Council.
